Avenues for Justice: Name Change Announcement

A letter from our directors regarding our new name change.

The Andrew Glover Youth Program is pleased to announce that we are changing the name of our agency to Avenues for Justice. The new name not only honors our beginnings on the avenues of the Lower East Side, it signifies our goal to set each of our clients on the path to a better future.

The development of our new name involved all stakeholders in our organization - from our generous donors and volunteers to our colleagues in the court system, and most importantly, our clients. The name, Avenues for Justice, more clearly and directly communicates our core mission - justice - in the increasingly crowded, complex and competitive non-profit community.

As Avenues for Justice, our core focus remains unchanged. We continue to pursue the same mission, promote the same values, and operate with the same personal care that the Andrew Glover Youth Program has for over 37 years. Our primary goals remain the same - to intervene and reclaim young people from lives of crime - to provide the overloaded court system with a reliable alternative to incarceration - and to make the Lower East Side and East Harlem communities safer for everyone.

Your familiar contacts will remain the same but you may notice their email address extensions have changed. We invite you to visit our website over the coming weeks to see some of our changes and as always, please feel free to reach out to any member of our team with questions you may have.

Yours Sincerely,

Angel Rodriguez, Executive Director
Judith Smith, Associate Director
